Perhaps because many people come to faith by having exhausted all other options for finding minding and then thrusting this faith in God as that which holds meaning. And thus, this faith being as cleanly and clearly defined in orthodoxy is easier and more certain for thrusting (and trusting).

Perhaps the question then is what is the relationship between certainty in God (Jesus Christ) and certainty in orthodoxy.

It was fun. Though I bought you at half price, and without student discount. You did well in the snow around Europe and such. And even in the army camp although some encik realised you were different. And you did well in the hikes. And you protected me from leeches though they crawled up the track pants and attacked me at my fats area.

Sometimes people tells me, there is nothing wrong being rich. If God wants to bless you to be rich why would you try to avoid it?

Then Desiringgod quotes CS Lewis about mud pies by the slum.

And I think, yknow, whats wrong with not wanting mud pies by the slum. If God really wanted you to have mud pies by the slum and you refused it, are you losing out that much? If he really wanted you to have mud pies by the slum, well, you would have it and you would enjoy it.

If desiring to be rich is really desiring to make mud pies by the slum. Well I think it really is a matter of perspective. Do you really think the kingdom of God and the joys of a relationship with God is really that all eclipsing.

For nobody says if God wants you to enjoy, say, sewing, why would you try to avoid it (as if there is something wrong with avoiding sewing when it might be a blessing).

Anyway what makes a blessing a blessing (and perhaps the same for a curse)?

Would you say that every rich person is blessed by riches? cursed by riches? a neutral term by riches?

God is good to me. I think what NS really does is it really gives you a time disconnected from other stuff to face the reality in your soul and what is going on with your life.

I'm gonna finish up my work for IPS this week and spend the rest of my time really well! Here's to that.

I'd also love to write some reflections. I was thinking of writing an interpreted view of the world, a view of society, and a view of myself in the world and in society.
