What ought?
Actually it seems to me that if you are not afraid or don't dislike working and are confident that you can earn decent money, there really is very little to fear on the money side of things, other than if you get incapacitated and have to live but cannot work. I dunno, do people dislike their jobs so much? Or do they actually have so much better things to do that is not working? I think if you think deeply and i dunno, actually tried being unemployed for a year or so, you will find that quality of life isn't really much better not working. In my humble opinion, and I have been unemployed for a year+ (kinda) or so before where i had to write book reviews and such to make sure I was not just wasting time away. But well, maybe peoples really hate their job and just using the job to get money. But in that case I really wonder why do peoples stay in such jobs. Maybe that is truly the lacking of options. It seems to me finding a job you reasonably enjoy, that provides decent money, is really quite a good deal. A better deal than a job that you dislike or even tolerate, that provides better money. And if you are in a job that you hate that doesn't provide decent money. well, decent is relative right, i would think the question is is there anything that you can do that can provide some money. and from there adjust your expectations such that that some money becomes decent? Maybe i'm pontificating because life has been good to me, but my feel is that I could live on much less. I think also when look at job need to find reasonable energy spend. Like if a job takes up all your energy that is very unfortunate and undesirable. But if a job is like too easy, i think that is undesirable too. I dunno i'm rambling, i think if it is meaningful it will be fun to spend energy on.
Hello everyone. Time to take stock again, on my favorite time of the week, Sunday night. Well tonight I have some leftover energy and time because I didn't go running, well and good I guess. I'm actually feeling pretty good about myself. LOL. I mean life is not easy by any stretch but honestly I have it quite good. There is much to be thankful for. And I do think that many people would like to be me. LMAO. I mean... in general, at least. While there is much to be thankful for, there is also much to improve, especially in terms of living in light of eternity. I am reasonably pleased with my non-eternal plight, am I pleased with my eternal destination? Actually focusing on the eternal makes the current not too bad. Doesn't actually make it good though. There is much to improve there, even as there is contentment in knowing that it is not up to me in the end. There is, there has to be hunger to improve right? Recently I have been thinking about whether I should spend more time on reading or music. These are truly reasonably fun things that bring value to living. And it is not as if I do 0 of it currently. My mental / energy has been the limiting factor rather than time, generally. But then again, I do think that perhaps, rather than rationing out more energy and / or letting myself be ok with 2 hours of youtube + instagram a day, however educational they might be, I need to be more disciplined with myself to CREATE more energy through effort. I think to some degree the previous phrasing is actually not accurate, what I am trying to get at is that I have to condition myself to spend more mental energy and get more things I want to do done, and cut out the slack needed to "recharge" or whatnot. That is, to lower the energy cost of discipline by making it a habit.
